Data Analyst / Property Portfolio Analysis / Public Sector Assets

This role is known internally as a Portfolio Options Assessor

KEY REQUIREMENT: Candidates should also have experience and knowledge of the Social Housing Sector or experience working with Local Authorities

SALARY: £41,862 - £44,000 per annum+ Generous Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid working, partly from the office in Ealing, West London(W5) and partly from home

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Data Analystwith experience and knowledge in social housing or local authority, ability to organise and manipulate large volumes of data, undertaking systems analysis, and excellent computer literacy with at least intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.

Working as the Data Analyst you will be responsible for delivering a range of options to optimise performance of property portfolio assets to groups of assets.

As the Data Analyst you will conduct in-depth investigations into assets of groups or assets identified as underperforming and develop comprehensive options appraisals that recommend actions to optimise their performance.

DUTIES

Your duties as Data Analystwill include:

  • Conduct comprehensive property performance assessments and options appraisals as directed by the Asset Appraisal Manager
  • Implement the options appraisal process in collaboration with the Senior Portfolio Options Assessor to provide optimisation options that support the Asset Management Strategy
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of both the financial and non-financial aspects of asset performance across the various markets within the organisation's asset portfolio
  • Ability to produce clear and concise written reports on portfolio performance and intervention options for review by senior management within the company
  • Capture and analyse large volumes of data from various internal and external sources
  • Assist with engaging with internal governance groups and other stakeholders, including residents, regarding options appraisals and action recommendations
  • Prepare and present options appraisals for Asset Management Panel papers for decision making

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience and knowledge in the social housing or with local authorities is essential
  • Report writing experience (comfortable with presenting to senior stakeholders)
  • Educated to Degree level or membership with relevant professional body (desirable, not essential)
  • The ability to understand, organise and manipulate systems that contain large volumes of data
  • Highly analytical with experience in undertaking sophisticated data and systems analysis
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent computer literacy skills, with at least an intermediate proficiency in MS Excel
  • Understanding / knowledge of commercially effective property portfolio management (desirable, not essential)
