Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant in the Science department, you will play a crucial role in supporting both teachers and students. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting teachers with the delivery of engaging and effective science lessons.
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, helping to reinforce learning objectives.
- Preparing teaching materials, setting up practical experiments, and organizing classroom resources.
- Supporting students with special educational needs to ensure they have full access to the curriculum.
- Monitoring student progress and offering tailored feedback and assistance.
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed during practical sessions.
- Contributing to the overall positive atmosphere of the school through participation in extracurricular activities and events.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A genuine passion for Science and education.
- Experience working with young people, preferably within a school environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff.
- A patient, supportive, and proactive approach to working with students.
- Relevant qualifications (such as A-levels in Science or a related degree) are preferred but not essential.
