REED is assisting a highly regarded secondary school in Hitchin in their search for a dedicated and skilled Computer Science/ICT Teacher. This full-time role offers the opportunity to deliver engaging and challenging lessons across all key stages within a vibrant department.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Teach Computer Science/ICT lessons that are both challenging and enjoyable across all key stages.
  • Collaborate effectively within the department to enhance the quality of teaching.
  • Share innovative ideas and contribute to staff meetings to improve educational practices.
  • Set ambitious goals for all pupils, regardless of background or ability, and ensure they are motivated to achieve their full potential.
  • Plan lessons by considering pupils' prior knowledge and capabilities, aiming to build upon these foundations.
  • Promote a responsible and diligent approach to work and study among pupils.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong educational background, including an Honours Degree or equivalent.
  • Evidence of curricular and pastoral responsibilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining high teaching standards.
  • High personal standards in attendance, punctuality, and organisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and professional approach to work.
  • Openness to further training and professional development.
