This is a great opportunity to join one of the UKs leading environmental consultancy who have been at the forefront of the built environment industry for 20 years. They are on the lookout for an experienced Building Physics Engineer looking to progress to a Senior level and join their energy team in their Guildford offices.

Key responsibilities for a Building Physics Engineer include:

  • Carry out energy assessments and thermal analysis using IES
  • Produce low and zero carbon reports, as well as reports for building regulations that comply with Part L
  • Produce EPC's for commercial and domestic projects, as well as SAP calculations for domestic projects
  • Identify new opportunities for business development and growth of the company as, well as developing and maintain client relationships

The ideal Building Physics Engineer will have:

  • A degree within an environmental science, engineering, or architectural degree
  • Relevant experience in a building physics engineer role within the construction industry
  • Proficiency with IES-VE software to carry out energy modelling
  • Ideally have an energy assessor qualification such as a NDEA or OCDEA
  • Working towards a CIBSE Low Carbon Energy Assessor accreditation
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
