The company:Working for a leading manufacturer in Kings Lynn who put innovation at the forefront of what they do. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of large industrial units. Due to continued growth, the company is looking for a strong manufacturing Section Manager to join their production team overseeing production with a focus on managing Health & Safety, Continuous Improvement, planning and process.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Manage line leaders and production staff
- Work alongside the manufacturing manager to assess continuous improvement methods
- Work to and manage health and safety processes
- Set and work to production goals and targets.
- Maintaining systems for ensuring quality of product is to correct specifications.
This is just a summed-up list of responsibilities and other duties will be required.
Skills and Experience required:
- Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing/production environment
- Experience managing a large team
- Health & Safety knowledge
- Demonstratable working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
- Experienced leader of a team or possesses clear potential for outstanding leadership
