Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer

Tomorrow's Guides operate three leading review websites in the care sector; carehome.co.uk, homecare.co.uk and daynurseries.co.uk.?Being a fast growing internet company, there's enormous amounts of data to analyse and we're looking for someone who can really work with the various departments here to dive down deep and generate insights to grow the business further.

Experience with Power BI report building and advanced DAX is crucial as these are the principal tools we use for the analysis and communication of insights.

The candidate will likely have at least 5 years plus experience in specifically analytical, UK-based roles.

It is essential that you can show previous examples of your analytical work and Power BI dashboards.

Skills required:

  • Strong SQL and upstream data wrangling skills (as our databases are complex)
  • Power BI: advanced DAX data modelling and measures, and a good grasp of the principles of data visualisation.
  • Analysis such as uplift vs benchmarks, AB tests, segmentations, etc. Familiarity with statistics
  • Partnering with key stakeholders: building relationships, project management and concise presentation
  • Professional self-starter, takes ownership, problem-solver, outstanding attention to detail

The core responsibilities of the role:

  • Building Power BI dashboards and reports to answer questions and generate insights
  • Partnering with the heads of departments to understand and then meet their analytical needs; producing reports that help them assess the success of their activity
  • Production of wider business analysis for the weekly internal managers' meeting and the monthly presentations to our owners in the US
  • Specific support to the Sales department
  • Support on monthly sales forecasting and budget models
  • Deep dive analysis projects to drive value for the CFO/COO, bringing a rigorous statistical approach
  • Data pipeline work to link our production database to our analytical warehousing
