Payroll Assistant (Part-time)

Location: Romford, Havering

Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 9am-5pm (some flexibility possible)

A growing company with over 40 years of experience and achievements are seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their team. You will have the opportunity to work with two sister companies, supporting their payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely payments for their employees. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential to calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings for the management team.

As a Payroll Assistant you will communicate with managers to address any timesheet-related inquiries and provide direct support to employees regarding timesheet submission and payroll inquiries. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team will be key in maintaining seamless payroll processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, review, and process timesheets and clocking in sheets submitted by employees
  • Verify accuracy of hours worked, overtime, and other relevant data
  • Resolve discrepancies and issues related to timesheet submissions
  • Input and maintain employee data in the payroll system
  • Liaise with Umbrella companies with regard to self-employed workers and their timesheet payments
