HRGO are recruiting a temporary Contract Manager on behalf of our established client, a global specialist service provider, situated in the North East of England. The successful candidate will be managing the service delivery of the Transport Operation Business across multiple sites.
Contract Type: Temporary (with scope to go permanent for the right candidate)
Hours: Varied, in line with customer requirements - will include some late shifts
Pay: £45,000-£60,000 (including retention bonus and car allowance)
Location: Northeast England
Responsibilities
- Maintain operation effectively, identifying and measuring process performance to guarantee customer requirements
- Utilise the business facilities and resources effectively to deliver customer requirements
- Monitor and report on profitability by analysing costs against budget
- Ensure and sustain quality standards across the contracts
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including H&S, Quality, Purchasing, HR and payroll
- Build and maintain relationships with customers
- Identify areas for improvements, service shortfalls and solve problems through process-driven corrective action plans
- Work effectively with Trade Unions
- Take a leading part in customer and internal meetings
- Train, manage and develop employees
Requirements
- Educated to GCSE Level
- Significant relevant experience managing operational processes across transport or similar contracts
- Experience in resource planning, controlling costs and managing budgets
- In-depth knowledge of H&S legislation
- Knowledge of HR policy and procedures
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment, scoping customer requirements and delivering against set standards
