Senior Management Accountant - Hybrid working

I am really excited to be partnering with an exceptional business seeking a Senior Management Accountant for a multi-site specialist business based in Uxbridge. This role is pivotal in providing financial support and ensuring the production of monthly management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and deferred income.
  • Provide detailed analysis and commentary on monthly accounts, incorporating key metrics.
  • Compile and present a comprehensive monthly management information pack, including group consolidated reports.
  • Lead monthly P&L review meetings with operational teams to discuss variances and provide analytical support.
  • Manage and mentor a management accountant, including setting performance objectives and conducting annual appraisals.
  • Handle intercompany cost recharges and reconcile balances across the group monthly.
  • Oversee VAT returns, compliance, and partial exemption calculations, as well as corporation tax.
  • Support the development and review of the internal control framework and key risks matrix.
  • Act as a business partner, assisting heads of departments and other key staff with financial queries.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed balance sheet reconciliations with adequate supporting information.
  • Lead the preparation of group annual budgets and cashflow forecasting.
  • Coordinate year-end audit and prepare annual financial statements, serving as the main contact for EY.
  • Research and implement additional software functionalities as needed.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties and project work as required.

Essential:

  • ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., V-lookups, pivot tables).
  • At least 2 years of experience in management accounts.
