Financial Controller

Resourcery Group are recruiting a Financial Controller role for a well established, profitable and growing SME based in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to join a Liverpool based business with an excellent reputation, and a clear strategy for the next 5 years.

Working with a well respected FD, the Financial Controller will help to drive the financial performance of the business. Our client has a brilliant culture and is well known as an excellent place to work. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company which is a leader in its market and has very ambitious growth plans. The role will report to the Finance Director who needs a right hand person to support the management and development of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist with development and roll out of processes and best practice across finance department
  • Preparation of regular group reports including monthly management accounts and cash reporting
  • Working with teams to review and understand monthly costs whilst improving reporting accuracy;
  • Production of management accounts, budgets and forecasts
  • Maintain accurate cashflow forecasting and work closely with Commercial Director regarding supplier payments
  • Production of monthly cost reports, working with commercial department to ensure all costs are captured and allocated correctly
  • Other Adhoc requests as required

Experience / Qualifications

  • Must be ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualified
  • Proven Staff management and motivation skills.
  • Hands on with ability to get into the detail
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong skills in accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines
  • Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Inquisitive
