Job Title: Content Creator

Location: London

Salary: DOE

Job type: Full Time - 3-month fixed term contract initially

As the definitive luxury yachting and lifestyle portal, Superyachts.com is dedicated to delivering top-of-the-line content to the superyacht industry, yacht owners, charterers and HNWIs. We at Superyachts.com are passionate about great content; from up-to-the-minute news stories to feature-length documentaries, we are always looking out for new ways to tell our story and keep our global audience of loyal users engaged.

The Role

We are looking for a friendly, confident and enthusiastic content creator to join our growing team, able to bring fresh ideas to the table and assist us in our mission to create amazing content on a daily basis.

You will be responsible for creating and managing content - from crafting short-form video proposals and editorial stories to working directly with video editors to bring your visions to life. You will work within the editorial team to generate fresh ideas to keep content up to date, as well as being required to step in front of the camera to deliver engaging short-form videos. Not only is this a journalistic role, but you will also be able to develop your skills over time and graduate to producing and directing your own video shoots for clients around the world.

Speak to thousands across social media or join us on the docks of Monaco to deliver exciting content on location. This is an incredibly varied role requiring a proactive individual willing to step forward and bring new ideas to the table: from learning the ropes to eventually managing your own projects. This is a great position to springboard your career and diversify your skills across the full spectrum of content creation.

Whilst this is a content creation role, you are not required to film, edit or apply graphics. You would be responsible for the ideas, direction and management of social media projects and short-form videos, alongside frequently appearing on camera as the online presence of Superyachts.com.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or second-jobber with at least 1 year of relevant experience who is looking to break into the exciting world of luxury editorial. We would expect any candidate to have a keen eye for detail, fit comfortably into a small team, and be an organised self-starter.

Although we tend to work remotely, employees will be required to travel to London for group meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Attending editorial meetings and bringing new ideas to the table
  • Crafting a range of short-form video content
  • Be comfortable in front of a camera
  • Transforming ideas into authentic stories
  • Working as part of a close team
  • Keeping a tight-schedule to reach deadlines
  • Delivering a weekly newsletter to thousands of subscribers
  • Social media creation and management
  • Writing promotional / marketing materials for the company
  • Updating the website on a daily basis

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An advanced grasp of the English language
  • A relevant degree to either Marketing, English, Journalism, Publishing or Media Studies
  • A friendly, open and creative mindset, looking to become part of a team
  • Keen interest in learning new skills
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • A natural affinity with social media
  • A passion for appearing on camera as well as managing the content behind it
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Good IT literacy with experience using custom content management systems
  • Experience in video editing is a plus but not required

Candidate Essentials:

  • Do you possess good use of English?
  • Are you located in/near London?
  • Did you go to a red brick university?

Please note; candidates who do not qualify for all 3 questions above, need not apply.

Perks:

We are part of a friendly, close knit and growing team who genuinely enjoy working together. Expect a vibrant organisational culture, excellent travel benefits, remote / flexible working options and great opportunities for learning and progression.

Superyachts.com is an equal-opportunity employer, and we particularly welcome applications from groups under-represented in the superyacht industry.
