Job Title: Lecturer in Digital and Business Studies
Location: Worksop
Salary: Up to £34.00 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading educational institution, seeking a passionate Lecturer in Digital and Business Studies to join their dynamic team. If you have expertise in digital media and computing and a commitment to delivering outstanding education, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and Assess: Deliver high-quali teaching across Levels 1-3 in digital media and computing, assessing student progress and ensuring excellent learning outcomes.
  • Curriculum Development: Plan, prepare, and assess to ensure engaging and effective teaching practices.
  • Student Preparation: Equip students with vocational and employability skills, preparing them for further education or the workforce.
  • Pastoral Care: Take responsibility for the academic and pastoral care of students, supporting their journey from enrolment to completion.
  • Target Setting: Use the electronic Individual Learning Plan (eILP) to set measurable goals for students and track their progression.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the Pastoral and Progression Coach and course teams to promote work experience opportunities and support the Next Steps Passport initiative.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage enrolments, registrations, and exam claims in line with external and college policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Must be qualified to at least Level 3 in relevant disciplines, with industry experience in digital media or computing. A full teaching qualification is required.
  • Teaching Experience: Prior experience in a teaching or work-based learning role is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Organised & Detail-Oriented: Able to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
