Our client, a highly respected law firm based in Southampton, is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigator to join their expanding team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a talented legal professional to initially focus on Property Litigation before transitioning into broader Commercial Litigation matters.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with substantial experience in commercial litigation, particularly in Property Litigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality client service with a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance.
  • A proactive and collaborative team player committed to continuous professional development.
  • Strong communication skills to ensure transparency with clients and effective collaboration within the firm.
  • Proficiency with legal technology, including case management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Service: Provide exceptional legal services that deliver high value for money, consistently meeting and exceeding client expectations. Maintain clear and ongoing communication with clients regarding case progress and associated costs.
  • Compliance: Uphold strict adherence to all firm policies, including quality management, billing control, confidentiality, and data protection. Ensure full compliance with professional obligations as set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
  • Risk Management: Adhere to the Solicitors' Accounts Rules, promptly reporting any potential breaches. Actively manage risks to avoid negligence, and immediately report any situations that could lead to claims under the firm's Professional Indemnity Insurance Policy.
  • Financial Targets: Achieve or surpass individual and group fee targets, contributing to the firm's overall success.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with the latest legal developments and meet the Law Society's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
  • Technology: Utilise case management and other legal technology systems effectively, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Team Contribution: Engage in team meetings, contribute to the development of your colleagues, and support the firm's marketing initiatives.
