Learning Mentor needed for Provision in Hastings
This is an exciting opportunity at a warm and welcoming school where children are pushed and supported to improve their social and emotional skills.
Children here display a range of Special, Educational Needs. Predominantly Social, Emotional and Mental Health, as well as some children having Autism. Unconditional positive regard and a therapeutic approach are at the heart of practice needed for these students.
If you are passionate about supporting children, providing a supportive and nurturing relationship to help them flourish in education, this is for you!
About you
- Have experience working with children, or be passionate to learn and do so!
- Feel confident in managing behaviour
- Be able to demonstrate your ability to build professional relationships with children
About the role
- 8.30am - 3.30pm
- Assisting the teacher to support children effectively in the classroom
- Conduct activities with students to promote engagement
- Be able to dysregulate and diffuse situations when needed
