An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Town Planner to become a key player in a market-leading team based in Bristol. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects across the South West, including residential development, major industrial and logistics projects, retail repurposing, and urban regeneration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive planning appraisals for land, buildings, and concepts.
  • Develop and submit planning applications, including detailed planning statements.
  • Promote land through the Local Plan process, engaging at all levels including Examination in Public.
  • Write insightful reports, interpreting data to provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Liaise with planning officers, consultee organisations, and other stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • MRTPI and/or MRICS qualified, or currently in the process of obtaining qualification.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present compelling planning arguments.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, managing multiple projects effectively and reporting to senior team members.
  • A passion for mentoring and supporting junior colleagues and graduates.
