Stock Control Manager

We're working on a new Stock Control Manager role working with a high-tec organisation in the Hemel area, specifically in their brand new, state of the art site in the Maylands area.

We're looking for a Stock Controller to come in and oversee the company's inventory, the stock management function applies to every single item used to produce this company's products or services, from raw to finished goods.

In this job you'll be managing stock levels, maintaining records and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely replenishment and deliveries.

The role is going to be ideal for someone not only with proven stock control experience, but you'll also need to have SAP experience, this is essential and sadly we won't be able to consider anyone without this.

This company are based in Hemel Hempstead, Maylands, due to the nature of the role you'll be working on site with your small team of 2-3 people, fully site based. Monday to Friday and typically this is a 9am to 5pm role (1 hour lunch), although could consider the same 35-hour week but move the start/finish time if required.

This is a permanent and full-time position, offering up to approximately £40k as a starting salary for the right person, with a whole host of benefits from free parking, annual bonuses, good pension and a "create-your-own" benefits package type scheme.

What to expect day to day?

  • Maintenance of accurate stock levels and control through real-time SAP administration and cycle-counting
  • Overseeing the purchase of new stock based on sales orders
  • Provide high levels of logistical support to the production team, field service teams and the wider organisation
  • Ensure key parts are inspected and approved to ensure the quality of goods or equipment received
  • Preparing reports and advising management on strategies to reduce cost, improve procedures and maximise efficiency
  • Ensuring that inventory and warehouse staff follow relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines as set down by the company
  • Review sales order intake against stock position daily
  • Working with the COO, project managers and field service managers, maintain a detailed despatch plan for all equipment sales, and safter-sales orders such as spares, replacements and parts supplied under warranty/service contracts
  • Flexible approach to supporting the wider team and company goals as directed

What do we need from you?

  • Some form of Stock Control experience and use of stock control systems
  • Experience on SAP is a must have for this role! Ideally SAP Business-One, that would really stand out
  • Competent in the use of MS Excel
  • Strong admin skills
  • Proven ability of effective written and verbal skills
