Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (one hour lunch)

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our client's Accounts Department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the firm, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly perform reconciliations to ensure the company's financial records are accurate and up to date. Identify discrepancies and work to resolve them promptly.
  • Accurately process client and office receipts, ensuring all transactions are recorded in a timely manner.
  • Check and process both private and legal aid bills with precision, ensuring all invoices are accurate and submitted according to deadlines.
  • Set up and manage electronic payment systems for the firm.
  • Oversee the purchase ledger, including processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payments.
  • Handle petty cash transactions, including recording and reconciling expenditures.
  • Reconcile company credit cards.
  • Assist in running month-end and year-end financial processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years in an account's role.
  • Solid grasp of VAT regulations and applications.
  • Confident in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
