NXTGEN is seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join a growing Accountancy practice north of Norwich. As the new Assistant Accountant, you will become part of a fantastic team of down-to-earth professionals who all share a strong work ethic and a passion for their job. This practice has experienced significant growth, having had another office expansion to meet the increasing demand from both new and existing local clients. You will receive one-on-one support from senior staff and a hands-on Directors who values work-life balance. This new Assistant Accountant role will be customised to fit your needs, expectations ensuring you can manage your workload effectively and maintain job satisfaction, whilst developing your career in the way you wish.

This is an excellent and rare opportunity for someone seeking a diverse role with a broad range of responsibilities. You will assist with all accounting duties, including the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, VAT and Tax Returns, and supporting the Bookkeeping function for a varied client portfolio. As your confidence and skills grow, you will have the chance to take on more responsibility. Additionally, there are opportunities for further training and internal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Accounts preparation for a diverse range of clients.
  • Prepare management accounts and support with VAT and Tax returns.
  • Assist with Bookkeeping duties
  • Develop strong working relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Provide timely support for clients' ad hoc queries.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a Chartered Accountants/Bureau environment is preferred due to the hands-on client work involved.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft packags

Salary is dependent on experience and flexibilty offered on an indisvual basis, with what works for you.
