Logistics Coordinator

A leading organisation based in the High Wycombe area are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join them.

Your new role
The role of the Logistics Coordinator has the following functions:

  • Complete Logistics Management (Planning, forecasting and liaising with suppliers/warehouses/transport/customs, reporting, checking/filing of delivery notes, CoA's, etc.)
  • Stock management
  • Main contact for all logistics issues.
  • Full responsibility for all logistics issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor stock levels of each product to ensure that there is sufficient stock.
  • Work with Marketing to agree sales forecast.
  • Set purchase forecast in line with sales forecast and fulfilment timescales provided by manufacturing.
  • Chase orders when and if required
  • Manage relationship and service levels with pre-wholesaler to ensure the company are getting value for money and customers are receiving orders
  • Provide reports and information for colleagues in the UK and Corporate.
  • Communicate issues with colleagues in the UK and Corporate.
  • Manage the UK logistics mailbox, ensuring that incoming emails are dealt with promptly.
  • Carry out monthly rolling forecast for both ethical and Relife products.
  • Carry out weekly SAP upload for ethical products.
  • Collating incoming paperwork for deliveries of new stock (includes delivery notes, customs documents, temperature data, invoices, etc.)
  • Monthly report to internal colleagues on stock issues (expiry dates, stock quantities, sales, stock coverage, etc.).
  • Arrange and provided presentation for monthly demand review meeting with Corporate and internal colleagues.
  • Collate and send orders and sales information received from pre wholesaler each morning.
  • Liaise with Finance (stock quantities, orders, claims, deliveries, destructions, etc.)

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in applying for the position of Logistics Controller you will have:

  • Attention to detail - to focus on completeness and accuracy at all times.
  • Organised - ability to work independently, organising and prioritising workload effectively, to ensure completion of given tasks in a timely manner.
  • Adaptability - is able and willing to carry out a wide variety of tasks as part of the day to day work schedule.
  • Ability to learn - quickly learns and understands new information and skills, seeking help where necessary.
  • Efficiency - focusses on objectives and tasks in hand, is able to allocate time appropriately for the completion of given tasks.
  • Computer literate - previous Microsoft Office experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Self-starter with a 'can do' approach
  • Positive outlook - to remain calm and professional at all times
  • Demonstrate at all times the Company's values of Integrity, Delivery and Teamwork

Minimum requirementsWhat you'll bring to the role: Experience of working with a team to ensure objectives are met and the ability to work on own initiative to get things done.
Essential qualifications:

  • Proven track record of achievement and performance
  • Computer literate
  • Previous experience with stock management
  • Experience of using an ERP system useful but not essential
