Warehouse Team Manager - immediate start - busy logistics and distribution business

Client Details

Our client is a major player in the Transport & Distribution industry with a workforce of over 17,000 employees. The company prides itself on providing top-notch logistics solutions and strives for excellence in all its operations.

This role involves leading a warehouse team in the Transport & Distribution industry, while also handling logistics coordination to maintain an efficient operation in their site in Corby. The Warehouse Team Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of warehouse activities in line with company standards. It is a fixed term contract of 3 months and will be until end of January 2025, 5 out of 7 work week, with rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm and 2pm - 10pm.

Description

The Warehouse Team Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage and lead a warehouse team to achieve operational targets.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments for efficient logistics operations.
  • Oversee warehouse activities to ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.
  • Handle team training and development activities.
  • Manage inventory control measures to avoid stock discrepancies.
  • Liaise with suppliers and transport companies for seamless operations.

Profile

A successful Warehouse Team Manager should have:

  • Experience in working within a busy warehouse operation
  • Proven experience in team management and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • The ability to handle team development and training activities
  • able to do a 5 out of 7 work week and do the rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm
