**Role Overview:**Professio Recruitment, a premier recruitment agency, is partnering with a leading provider of security-based clinical services to expand their Paramedic bank team (as self-employed contractors) due to their on-going business growth As an experienced paramedic with a minimum of 3 years of experience, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the health and wellbeing of individuals in the UK and overseas. You will adhere to JRCALC guidelines and operate within the scope of HCPC registration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Availability and Task Management:

  • Maintain accurate online availability records.

  • Promptly respond to assigned tasks online.

  • Communication and Coordination:

  • Communicate effectively with the Operations and Clinical Manager.

  • Ensure all medical kits and drugs are up-to-date before duty.

  • Clinical Duties:

  • Receive clinical handovers and make appropriate judgments.

  • Measure and record baseline observations, acting on clinical needs.

  • Administer regular medication as prescribed.

  • Treat individuals autonomously during unforeseen acute episodes.

  • Ensure respectful and empathetic patient care.

  • Deliver services with high clinical and professional standards.

  • Produce accurate medical notes for ongoing care and audits.

  • Team Welfare:

  • Maintain the medical welfare of colleagues in the security/Home Office team.

Role Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Current HCPC registration.
  • I.H.C.D. or HE Paramedic qualification.
  • Demonstrated Continuous Professional Development and ALS/ILS competencies.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification as an HCPC paramedic.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is desirable.
  • Full driving licence and own transport.
  • Smart, professional appearance and conduct.
  • Knowledge of JESIP (Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles).

Skills:

  • Ability to collaborate actively with a team and work independently.
  • Identify and address signs of deteriorating patients.
  • Clear and concise communication, especially with patients.
  • Attention to detail and accurate information recording.
  • Quick and appropriate decision-making skills.
  • Maintain composure in disruptive or aggressive situations.

Additional Information:

  • Successful candidates will require consent for DBS and Home Office security clearance checks, which may take up to 12 weeks.
