Are you passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to inspiring young minds within a nurturing, faith-based environment? We're seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an EYFS or Key Stage 1 Teacher at our Catholic school in St Albans.
As an EYFS or Key Stage 1 Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing our youngest learners' academic and personal growth, fostering a love for learning, and creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment grounded in our Catholic ethos. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an exceptionally strong Early Career Teacher (ECT) to make a meaningful impact, ignite curiosity, and cultivate foundational skills in our young students.
EYFS or Key Stage 1 Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to the needs and interests of EYFS and Key Stage 1 students, promoting literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, practical activities, and creative resources to make learning enjoyable and accessible for all children.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore their ideas, develop their skills, and achieve their full potential within the framework of our Catholic values.
- Assess student progress through a range of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth and development.
- Promote positive behavior and social skills by modeling respect, cooperation, and responsibility, and implementing effective classroom management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links, participate in departmental meetings, and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree and PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within a UK primary or EYFS setting is preferred, but exceptionally strong ECTs are also encouraged to apply.
- Commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school.
