The Management Accountant will be responsible for leading from the front in our clients accountancy department, focusing on ensuring financial accuracy and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will be tasked with managing the company's financial health, conducting regular financial analysis, and providing key financial data to support decision-making processes reporting to the Financial Controller.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

  • Assist in leading the accounting team and overseeing financial operations within the department.
  • Conducting regular financial analysis and reporting on financial performance.
  • Production of monthly management accounts including commentary and analysis
  • Assisting in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Identifying potential areas for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
  • Collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights for business decisions.
  • Implementing effective strategies for financial well-being and sustainable growth.
  • Mentoring team members and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Working towards a professional accounting designation (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data effectively.
