Your new roleThe Category Buyerassists the Senior Buyer and Category Manager in overseeing and managingdesignated areas of spend. Your role as buyer is to enhance spend control and providehigh quality procurement services to both internal and external clients.
The Buyer is responsible for ensuring compliant end-to-end procurement processes, managing supplier and customer contracts and analysing statistical and financial data within their category. The role requires the development of key relationships with suppliers and customers and the implementation and management of contracts within the assigned category, specifically focusing on commercial and customer benefits.
What you'll need to succeed- Previous experience in a buyer role (or similar).
- Advanced excel skills e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros etc
- Excellent communication skills
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Self starter who is driven and determined to develop their procurement career
