Youth Mental Health Advocate - Reading

Are you passionate about heping vulnerable people in education? Do you want to support students reach their full potential?

A brilliant school in Reading are looking to take on a Youth Mental Health Advocate this October. The school are committed to maintaining a nurturing environment where students can express themselves and receive the support they need while still receiving high quality education. Students attending the school are aged 5 - 18 years old and face challenges regarding social, emotional and mental health needs. The Youth Mental Health Advocate role is a key position within the school's community.

Responsibilities of a Youth Mental Health Advocate include:

  • Positively reinforcing techniques to encourage students
  • Create a safe environment for students to speak freely
  • Collaborate with educational psychologists to tailor learning plans
  • Implementing therapeutic techniques
  • Encouraging independence
  • 1-1 based support and interventions

The school are excited to welcome a Youth Mental Health Advocate to improve their students' quality of education. Full training will be provided on site to the successful applicant. Previous experience is beneficial but not mandatory! The school are looking for a confident, enthusiastic candidate to help their students reach their full potential in education and society.
