This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the developing and growing Bush and Co Care Solutions Team to support in the achievement of key compliance objectives. Bush and Co Care Solutions provide a Care Management service to clients nationwide who directly employ their own care teams and are rated ‘Good' by the Care Quality Commission.

The role of Registered Manager is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum requirement of 1 day a week in the Daventry office. Working hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Registered Manager is responsible for the overall compliance and leadership of Bush and Co. Care Solutions, ensuring compliance with the fundamental standards of care. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the continued growth of the service, managing key stakeholder relationships, and meeting both clinical and financial objectives. Reporting to the Head of Care and working closely with the Clinical Lead, the Registered Manager will keep abreast of all current legislation and will have a working knowledge of CQC's Quality Statements and the application of these within a home care organisation.

The applicant must have experience of working as a Registered Manager or demonstrable experience in a comparable role.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS REGISTERED MANAGER

  • Undertake the day-to-day co-ordination role for complaints, safe-guarding, governance, and risks relating to Bush and Co Care Solutions.
  • Register with the Care Quality Commission as the Registered Manager.
  • Attend and lead meetings relating to Care Compliance and Safeguarding.
  • Assume the role of safeguarding lead for Bush and Co Care Solutions.
  • Record care-related incidents and advise Case Managers and Support workers on actions to take to minimise risk when incidents have occurred.
  • Respond to Care related queries and seek information in line with guidelines and legislation to ensure support provided is appropriate.
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and recognise where changes in guidance impact on working practices and implement the appropriate change.
  • Assist in the provision of governance reports and action plans ensuring actions are undertaken within agreed timescales.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and review of policies and procedures.
  • Gather, interpret, and report on a wide range of quality information, identifying gaps in assurance for escalation.
  • Understand, provide, and analyse complex data and information.
  • Develop effective and professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, customers, and consultants as required within role
  • Organise and facilitate meetings, driving agreed actions
  • Maintain the confidentiality of clients, customers, staff, and the business complying with the company Information Governance policies

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential

  • Ability to effectively build and manage working relationships with a range of stakeholders to include Fee payers, clients, associates, support workers and family members.
  • Experience of working with Regulatory Bodies to include the Care Quality Commission to include effective application of their standards to internal compliance structures.
  • Relevant and demonstrable experience in the health and social care sector.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding practices and experience of raising safeguarding notifications and contributing to strategy meetings.
  • Working Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Experience of initiating, implementing, and overseeing audit and survey activity
  • Confident IT skills with experience using Microsoft packages; Work, Excel, Database and Outlook Excellent time management skills; managing own diary and meeting task deadlines
  • Communication skills relevant to client base i.e. vulnerable clients with disabilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Content working autonomously
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve personal and shared goals
  • Ability to travel when necessary
  • An agile thinker

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of rehabilitation needs, clinical experience or analytical skills
  • Understanding of the medico-legal industry
  • Experience of report writing
  • Qualified to Safeguarding Level 4
  • Experience in a similar role for a Community Care provider.
  • QCF level 5 in Health and Social Care.
