We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Commercial Restoration business who require a skilled Curtain Fitter, Blind Fitter, Maintenance Technician or general builder or handyman for an immediate start.
The position would also suit a Maintenance Technician, Carpenter, Joiner, Builder, Installer, Handy Person, Upholsterer or general Building and Maintenance Installer. The experienced Curtain Fitter or Maintenance Person will be working as part of the Commercial Service team and be required to visit companies such as Hotels, Pubs and restaurants, installing curtains & blinds
The role would suit an experienced Curtain Fitter, Maintenance Technician, Carpenter, Builder, Upholsterer, Joiner or other tradesperson, looking to take up this type of work on either a full time or part time basis.
Curtain Fitter / Handy Man Responsibilities:
- To fit curtain/curtain poles/track systems and blinds in commercial locations.
- Be responsible for your Van and stock at all times to make sure that you never arrive on site without the correct materials.
- The role will consist of working away from home and in some cases working longer than the scheduled 8-hour day due to travel (Overtime offered).
- Due to the nature of the work this is unavoidable but fair notice will be given along with hotels and food all paid for by the company.
- The role is self employed and day rate will be invoiced at £180.00 per day
CURTAIN FITTER EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- Have previous experience installing Curtains, Blinds, Tracks and Poles
- Have some basic carpentry skills in order to build and fit Pelmet boxes & boards.
- Must have own vehicle to travel to work locations (Mileage offered)
- Have a friendly and out-going personality with good communication skills
- Have good self-management and keep on-top of client documentation and paperwork
- Treating Customers Fairly
