Site Manager

We are recruiting for a Site Manager to join our customers based in Hinckley LE10 who are a worldwide player in critical surface preparation, treatment, protection and control operations plus Non-Destructive testing applications.

As a Site Manager, you will lead and be part of a successful team who are committed to Customer satisfaction. This is a critical role within the operation, and directly contributes towards the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and operation.

Salary:

£50,000 - £60,000

This role Is a permanent position.

Hours:

Monday - Friday

8am-5:30pm

The role of a Site Manager:

  • Establish and adapt organisation and lead and drive it - motivate the team, supporting and developing the team members' competence and autonomy. Define, drive, manage and adapt an action plan based on priorities, detect failures and anomalies, and propose solutions to achieve specific objectives.
  • Propose, Plan, Develop and Manage production, maintenance, projects, strategies, relevant systems, resources & budgets. Drive optimisation of efficiency and overall performance of the manufacturing unit (taking account of quality, customer satisfaction, product profitability, return on investment etc.)
  • Network with multiple parties and to negotiate within a broad sphere of applications.
  • Federate a multi-skills team, manage projects and lead in conducting meetings and facilitating working groups. Listen to and to develop dialogue between teams (customer services, purchasing, industrialization, R&D, QHSE) to encourage and facilitate decision-making and affecting of action.
  • Decision-making capacity and ability to make qualified, immediate decisions.
  • Mastery of production management and organization of industrial flows, controlling agreed industrial process and or operation of facilities to achieve agreed manufacturing goals.
  • Develop and adapt a program of manufacturing / packaging. Translation of this to forecasts of load capacity and means of production (with reference to requirements in terms of equipment, materials and manpower).
  • Knowledge of process engineering and management of chemical risks plus understanding of the concept and tools of Lean Management and ability to control safe industrial processes.
  • Capacity for problem solving and progression of continual improvement. Ability to Identify weaknesses and relevant critical supply chain solutions and define and follow-through to delivery of corrective action plan.
  • Understanding of functionality & competence in use of ERP & business software and ability to manage the flow of plant and business operations utilising these tools.
  • Knowledge and ability to action the processes of cost controlling for ongoing operations and projects.
  • Working Knowledge of the Quality Management Methodology and ultimately master background and application of ISO 9001,14001 and EN9100 standards .
  • Ability to work alongside MD and / or others to assist in managing local labour regulations.
  • Aptitude to get to know the regulatory requirements applicable to the company.
