Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the team at Green Wrythe Lane Clinic. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and treating children with a range of conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Cerebral Palsy (CP). You will play a critical role in helping children develop essential skills, working closely with families and the multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct detailed assessments of children with conditions such as ASD and CP, developing treatment plans based on their individual needs.
- Treatment Planning: Create and deliver therapeutic interventions to improve motor skills, sensory processing, and overall functioning.
- Sensory Integration (SI): Provide SI therapy to help children manage sensory processing difficulties.
- Collaboration: Work with parents, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure the child's holistic needs are met.
- Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and document each child's progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Family Support: Educate families on managing their child's condition, providing exercises and activities for home practice.
Key Requirements:
- Previous paediatric occupational therapy experience is essential.
- Experience working with children with ASD and CP.
- Sensory Integration (SI) training/experience is required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to independently manage a varied caseload.
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
