Science Teacher - Manchester

We are specifically working with a secondary school in Manchester as a Science Teacher, who are working exclusively with ourselves, to join them teaching Science key stage 3 & 4 from September 2024, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis.

You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. In a department with well sequenced learning, with clear links to their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way.

The school have been graded as 'Good' in several aspects including Behaviour and attitudes, Leadership and management and Personal development. Leaders' strong moral, purpose and unwavering focus to create a positive culture for learning has transformed the school. The is a welcoming and inclusive school. Hours - 8:30am - 4pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree educated with a good classification

Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc)

Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)

Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)

Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)

Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80.

Provide a minimum of two professional references.
