Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a EDT Service & Commissioning Engineer!

The EDT Service & Commissioning Engineer is responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, and repairing equipment that was supplied by the business. This includes work both in-house and on-site at customer facilities.

The purpose of this position is to ensures that all equipment supplied and serviced by the company operates effectively, efficiently, and safely, meeting customer expectations.

Regular domestic and international travel may be required.

Job Title: EDT Service & Commissioning Engineer

Salary: £33k – 40k

Overnight Allowance: £75 per day /£85 after 21 consecutive days

Location: Rotherham (70%) / International sites (30%)

Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake all work activities safely, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  2. Install, commission, service, and repair supplied equipment down to the component level.
  3. Provide customer instruction and training on the correct operation and maintenance of the equipment.
  4. Supervise third-party labour during installation and operation activities.
  5. Complete and submit service documentation for both customers and internal use.
  6. Liaise with customers and management regarding progress on installation and repair work.
  7. Ensure the delivery of quality products and services by following necessary processes and procedures.
  8. Exercise commercial awareness, promoting products and services while considering both costs and customer needs.

Knowledge & Experience:

The ideal candidate should:

  1. Be a multi-skilled technician, with a bias toward electrical/electronic disciplines.
  2. Have a minimum of 3 years of experience working within an industrial setting.
  3. Be qualified to at least an HNC level (or equivalent) in electrical/electronic engineering or a related subject.
  4. Possess excellent communication skills and experience dealing with customers at all organizational levels.
  5. Be self-motivated and have good time-management skills.
  6. Be willing and able to travel, sometimes at short notice and for extended periods
