Are you passionate about mechanical engineering and thrive in a busy sales environment? We are seeking a talented Sales Account Manager to join our clients. The role will give you the opportunity to utilize your mechanical engineering knowledge by delivering technical and commercial support to customers. The position offers full on the job training and genuine opportunities of growth within the organisation.
Salary £26K-£29K depending on experience + generous monthly bonus scheme depending on company sales/profit + excellent benefits
Key responsibilities for the Sales Account Manager include,

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to understand their technical requirements and identify sales opportunities
  • Provide technical support and expertise to customers, guiding them in selecting the best solutions to meet their requirements
  • Processing of customers' orders and preparation of quotations
  • Co-ordination with internal departments to achieve customer requirements

The ideal Sales Account Manager will need,

  • A grounding in mechanical engineering and commercial acumen
  • A good understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Ability to have technical conversations with customers
  • Candidates who have recently completed an apprenticeship and seeking a role within sales considered
  • Professional verbal/written communication skills along with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers
  • Commercial experience would be a benefit
  • Be highly organised and able to respond in a timely and effective manner

If you have just completed a technical (mechanical engineering related) apprenticeship or you've been working in a technical 'hands on' role and looking to progress into a sales office position this could be the role for you. Some previous office based sales experience useful but not essential as full training is provided. You will need confident verbal/written communication skills and the ability to deliver technical support to customers.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 9 am to 5.00 pm and Friday 9 am to 3.30 pm with a half hour for lunch each day
