Night Security Support Officer Vacancy
A reputable housing charity is currently recruiting for a Night Security Support Officer in the Hertfordshire area. This would be a temporary to permanent contract and you'll be required to work 40 hours per week.
Length: Temporary to permanent
Hours: Night shifts – 10pm- 8am (40 hours) on a rolling rota 5 nights on 2 nights off currently but will be changing to 4 on 2 off - 10pm to 8am
Location: Hatfield
Pay: £14.00 per hour PAYE including holiday pay
The role involves:
- Providing a night concierge service to residents and visitors within a homeless hostel
- Controlling access to the building
- Monitoring CCTV systems to identify any possible incidents
- Undertaking frequent and regular patrols of the building and monitoring any anti-social behaviour
- Dealing with health and safety issues
- Acting as a fire warden in the event of a fire alarm being triggered
- Contacting the "on call" manager in the event of an emergency or serious incident
- Being compassionate and caring in the event a resident is feeling vulnerable
- Dealing with mental health crisis that may arise
Additional requirements:
- Experience in a similar position working night shifts
- An enhanced DBS ideally from within three years or willingness to obtain one
- Experience working with vulnerable clients
