Sheridan Maine are recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join a fantastic group reporting team.
This role offers a hybrid working pattern of 4 days working from home and 1 day in the office.
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including VAT control accounts. Manage submission, payments, and handle related queries.
- Monthly journal review process.
- Supporting the Financial Accountant with the preparation of all the groups entity VAT returns.
- Day to day maintenance of the finance reporting and budgeting system.
- Preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Identifying opportunities for improvements.
The successful Assistant Financial Accountant should possess the following skills and experience:
- Part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or studying.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to establish and build relationships across the business.
- A collaborative and solution oriented mindset.
- Advanced Excel skills and good all round IT knowledge.
- Ability to analyse, interpret and present information clearly and concisely.
