We are seeking a qualified and experienced Asbestos Surveyor to work with our a client a large housing provider in the South West, and will be covering properties across Devon. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the housing association meets its legal requirements by conducting various asbestos surveys. This role requires a high level of service and commitment to safeguarding the welfare of vulnerable groups.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Undertake Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition Surveys in various properties.
  • Perform a mix of single and multiple room surveys, including roof and job-specific surveys, as well as full property management surveys.
  • Arrange and conduct visits to customers' homes across a substantial geographical area, for which a company vehicle will be provided.
  • Ensure properties are compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Work hours are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • BOHS P402 qualification.
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Experience in undertaking refurbishment, demolition, and management surveys.
  • Domestic dwelling surveying experience with a significant understanding of the built environment.
  • Clear knowledge of Health and Safety and Asbestos legislation in the construction industry.
  • Experience in property surveys within an RSL, local or public authority, or private practice.
  • Full driving licence (essential).

Desirable (D): * BOHS P405. * Degree in a role-related subject. * CIOB/CIH/RICS equivalent qualification in property surveying. * Practical experience in the construction industry or social housing sector. * Understanding of the Decent Homes Standard and the Housing Health & Safety Rating System.
