The Head of Reward will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective reward strategies in our public sector organisation. This individual will be a key figure within the Human Resources department, responsible for driving change and improvements to the reward system.

Description

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Reward to join this Public Sector Organisation during an exciting period of transformation. As the Head of Reward, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of the total rewards strategy, including compensation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee salary bands, incentive plans, and executive compensation.
  • Accountable for re-procurement, build, testing, and launch of our benefits platform, securing new providers where needed.
  • Implement and enhance the benefits offering.
  • Ensure colleagues understand the total value of their compensation and benefits.
  • Implement the 2024/2025 bonus scheme.
  • Provide reward-related advice to senior management.

Profile

A successful Head of Reward should have:

  • Expert knowledge of reward strategies and structures.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the Public Sector or Not for Profit space.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Experience in managing relationships with trade unions.
  • Proven project management skills.
