20.5 hours per week (based on a rolling 3-week rota)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Evening Assistant Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join our Rochdale Domestic Abuse Service. In this role, you will be responsible for providing trauma-informed, person-centred support to clients within safe accommodation during evening hours. Your work will empower individuals to rebuild their lives, make informed choices, and achieve independence.
Support worker key responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to clients in a safe and secure environment during evening hours.
- Assist in the move-in process for new clients, ensuring smooth transitions into safe accommodation
- Facilitate evening group sessions and one-to-one support, helping clients make informed decisions and stay safe.
- Maintain accurate records, including client support plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Ensure the security and upkeep of service premises, including monitoring CCTV and alarm systems.
- Work collaboratively with the team to promote client independence, safety, and engagement in service improvement.
Support worker requirements:
- Relevant qualification (e.g., Housing, Domestic Abuse, IDVA, ISVA) or equivalent experience.
- Extensive understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on individuals and families.
- Experience in providing trauma-informed support in safe accommodation or community settings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and risk assessment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as part of a rota.
- Access to a car for work purposes is desirable.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a support role.
- Valid driver's license, own vehicle, and business insurance.
- Enhanced DBS.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and engage in lone working situations.
The Package
This is a permanent, Support worker role,20.5 hours per week.
