Underwriting Assistant
Barker Munro recruitment are proud to be working with this expanding insurance business as they embark on the next phase of their growth as they look to recruit their next Underwriting Assistant.
As an underwriting assistant you will provide support and assistance to the technical underwriting team whilst learning and developing your technical insurance knowledge. You will perform administrative duties regarding new and renewal accounts, risk assessments and various other ad hoc duties to support the underwriters whilst you learn and develop your excellent insurance and underwriting knowledge within a hugely talented underwriting team.
The role will suit someone who has an eye for detail but is keen to learn and develop and who wants to train and earn your insurance qualifications.
Full on the job training will be given to you and the business will support you with insurance qualifications whilst also developing your personal skills and ability to converse and trade with insurance brokers.
This role could suit an A Level or graduate individual who is looking for a career within the insurance and financial sector but doesn't want the daily cost and commute of going to London. Strong IT skills are required along with a strong work ethic.
The company offer Hybrid working, with some days in the Kent office but you will also have the ability to work from London once a week should you wish to do so plus having some home working options as well, a real good balance of working environments which will only enhance your ability to learn and develop within the underwriting market.
