Circa £ 44,000 + depending on skills and experience + Car Allowance

Anglian Water is an innovative utility company always looking for ways to continue to make sure it is fit for the future. We are looking for a curious person to advise and promote the optimisation of our biological treatment processes who enjoys working in a small team and thrives on taking initiative, prioritising, and communicating with audiences at various levels of the organisation. Our Water Recycling Optimisation Team focus on supporting Operational teams in improving processes and operation of assets, data management and effective performance monitoring to make the Water Recycling Operation more resilient and efficient.? ???

Collaborating with the Water Recycling Operational teams, you will be the main point of contact focusing on identifying and promoting Optimisation opportunities on Water Recycling Centres, Sludge Treatment Centres as well as across Water Recycling Network (pumping stations, sewers and rising mains) and providing effective solutions to reduce operational costs.??

Drawing on your expertise and working with our specialist consultants you will be using the site audit process to build business cases. You will be working with Water Recycling operational teams providing help and guidance to improve operation of the assets and treatment processes. You will also be supporting Optimisation delivery team in carrying out capital investment, solution commissioning and handover on Water Recycling assets ensuring efficiency and sustainability of the new solutions.

What does it take to be an Optimisation Engineer?

  • Good understanding and experience of Water Recycling biological and operational processes (appropriate professional qualification e.g.: CIWEM, Anglian Water "Licence to Operate" - "Advanced Licence to Operate" would be advantageous)?
  • Lean management or other relevant process experience or qualifications??
  • Effective communicator with a range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions in dynamic environments.
  • Understanding of commercial aspects of business risk and tactical operations
  • Demonstrable experience of integrating capital schemes into operational sites
  • Health and Safety management ideally qualified to IOSH level?
  • Full UK driving licence?
