With Springpod's ambitions to support young people globally, and expansion to support additional countries, universities and employers over 2024 and beyond, we are recruiting a Head of Finance and Operations. This leadership role will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction and operational efficiency of Springpod, and by overseeing all financial activities, and ensuring operational excellence, the Head of Finance and Operations will drive sustainable growth.
Reporting to the COO and CEO, and leading a multi-functional team, the Head of Finance and Operations will steer the strategy and operational expertise for Finance, HR, IT and Support functions, offering a rare opportunity to contribute at a big-picture level, for an exciting EdTech pressing for scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Develop and implement financial strategies to support Springpod's growth and profitability goals; Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and planning; Manage financial reporting and provide decision-making insights to the leadership team
- Manage cashflow and US/UK currency transactions to minimise FX risk, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Lead the preparation of financial statements and audits
- Work with external advisors to optimise UK and US Tax issues, including R&D tax Credits
- Implementation and rollout of first-class internal financial controls and systems.
- Operational Management: Oversee management of IT, HR and Support functions including departmental budgeting, the implementation of robust recruitment processes and the optimisation of internal data reporting
- Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the development and execution of Springpod's strategic plan, providing financial and operational insights to the Executive Board
- Support fundraising, including investor relations, and capital raising activities; Lead financial due diligence for M&A activity
What you'll offer us:
- Qualified Accountant with a proven track-record of leading Finance and Operations functions, ideally from the Tech or Education industry
