Tool maker
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, double day shift or 4x10 hours permanent night shift. Salary: £16 - £18 p/h DOE.
I am pleased to be recruiting for a tool maker for one of our largest clients in the region and I am now looking for a full-time tool maker to join this growing business on a permanent basis.
As one of a team of toolmakers you would be responsible for tasks such as setting up and operating tool room machinery, repairing and maintaining injection moulds, and troubleshooting tooling issues to ensure production efficiency.
The ideal Candidate:
- Experienced in operating and maintaining tool room machinery. Conventional and CNC (Hurco).
- Experienced in repairing and modifications of injection mould tooling.
- Knowledge of tooling processes and materials.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certification or apprenticeship in tool making or moulding.
Shift pattern:
Double days - Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts - 6am to 2pm/ 2pm - 10pm) or Permanent Nightshift (4 x 10 hour night shift, Monday to Thursday).
Salary:
£16 - £18 p/h DOE.
