Lead Generation / New business development

Posted by M TWO Search Ltd..

You're a hunter, you love the thrill of new business and the challenge it brings. You love the accolades of bringing in new revenue to your business, feeding the business with new clients, projects and being the face of the company.

This place is on a powerful surge. Over the last 8 years, Revenue has doubled, the headcount has remained (broadly) the same and the profit has followed suit. So you're coming in to join a high-performing business where everyone knows what needs to be done to keep on the trajectory.

Against the grain in a sales role, you will be given time here. This is a new strategy, a new way to go to market for the business. The plan is to have you target fewer but higher-value customers. Smarter not harder and all that. So there is a true understanding that these things will take time.

Whilst it is new and you will be given time to build a pipeline, you'll absolutely still need to come with a shed load of enthusiasm, resilience and a new business mentality. You'll prospect, pitch, win, onboard and then pass on to the internal team, releasing you to get back on the new business. It won't be easy but business development is all about mindset.

This isn't sit there and hit 100 cold calls a day. It couldn't be further from the truth. You're joining a print and creative business. You'll be selling directly to Marketing people so creativity is key here. Think social selling, creating content to build a personal brand, a reputation. Sending Voice notes, Email campaigns, Samples, Video introductions and yes, the good old 'picking up the phone'.

Whilst experience of the Print space is ideal, if you can tick the other boxes of new business experience, social skills, knowledge of how to build a brand and reputation and have sold in marketing people historically, then we should still be having a chat.

The business you'll (hopefully) be joining is VERY reputable in its niche. The Printing Industry. There's not much they can't do from small format commercial print all the way through to direct mail, high-end luxury print and large format. One thing you can be assured on though is whichever way it's printed, it will be sustainable and the most eco-friendly route. Sustainability for this business is huge and at the core of everything they do. They were one of the first carbon-balanced printers in the country! Impressive. Your target customers will be able to get all their collateral from you. This means it's a huge opportunity for you! Your new place knows what they are doing, they've been around for 60 years. Obviously, they don't operate as they did in 1964, they move with the times. The experience, knowledge and client base they've built through that time though is second to none. There's decent tenure within the business, and opportunities to progress into different areas but you know what the best thing about this place is? Their people. Like-minded, hard-working but fun and lovely humans.

Talking of the team and culture, they want it to be inclusive. So whilst this role is hybrid and it will be out visiting clients it would be handy that you can easily get into the office to build those relationships with your colleagues, see your work going through the presses and actually be part of something. To do this, you'll need to commute a couple of times a week into Rotherham.

You don't need a CV to be considered for this opportunity. We are fortunate to have known the Sales Director of this business for 10 years. We will present you in the best light and won't let not having a CV stop us from making an introduction. So if this opportunity is of interest, just give us a shout and we can have a chat -
