Flexible Science Teacher

Posted by LONG-TERM TEACHERS LIMITED.

'Something, somewhere incredible is waiting to be discovered'

I am currently working on behalf of a secondary school based in Bath that is looking for a subject specialist to teach across key stage 3 and 4. Long Term Teachers need a passionate person to join the Science department of a fast growing secondary school. The role is flexible so is perfect for an experienced teacher who wants to decrease their hours yet still keep their hand in teaching. Or if you are a Science teacher but have taken some time and want to come back to teaching but still need to jungle family life this is the perfect role for you.

The role will involve

  • Planning and marking
  • A strong understanding of the Science Curriculum
  • Working proactively with other members of the department

What the client is looking for

The headteacher is looking for a kind, approachable individual, who can show excellent organisational skills, be assertive, and must have a QTS or at least 1 year experience teaching in UK schools.

  • Is a confident communicator
  • A commitment to 'getting involved' in overall school life
  • QTS (ECT's are welcome to apply)
  • At least 1 year experience teaching in a UK school

The school I am looking for really prioritizes strong subject knowledge and a teacher that is a breath of fresh air. Someone who can engage their students in their learning but also push them to be the best they can be in and out of the classroom.
