Right Now Group are working with an Global Freight Forwarder in assisting them in their search for a Customs Operations Supervisor. They are looking to grow their Surface Transportation unit at their Manchester Branch, by bringing in somebody who is capable of leading and growing the team from the front.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of Customs Procedures, and previous experience supervising a unit of staff.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality of working atmosphere, focused on external and internal customer service and drive performance to ensure required levels of productivity and organizational objectives are met
- Selection and training of staff, defining specific job assignments within operations team specialized in customs.
- Maintain and monitor working knowledge of brokerage team activity and workload while seeking improvement in the processes
- Resolving issues that could result in delayed cargo release, final delivery, or customer loss.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and leadership to improve, streamline, and develop processes and procedures
Requirements:
- Excellent customs procedure knowledge (CDS) - Customs Brokerage
- Road Freight Knowledge and Operational Experience is ideal
- 3+ years industry experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership qualities are essential
Salary: £35,000 = £45,000
Location: Manchester
Shift: Mon-Fri 8.30pm-5pm
