This contractor excels in remediation design, utilising a wide range of commercially viable remediation technologies, major earthworks, groundworks, civil engineering, and landfill construction. Their projects, valued from tens of thousands to multi-million pounds, are carried out nationwide.

The Site/Surveying Engineer plays a vital role in operational projects. Maintaining close communication with colleagues at all levels within the business, the Site/Surveying Engineer must respond swiftly, independently, and efficiently to diverse requests, ranging from detailed 3D modelling exercises to essential site measurement tasks.

**Site Engineer

Position Overview

The Site/Surveying Engineer is responsible for coordinating site engineering control, setting out activities, and providing necessary information to operatives and subcontractors. They complete diary sheets with photographic evidence, ensure surveying equipment calibration, and conduct as-built surveys and drawings. The role includes maintaining quality records in line with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), producing drawings from topographical surveys, and performing 3-D volumetric calculations for soils and works. Additionally, the engineer is expected to stay current with Continuing Professional Development (CPD), keep up with software advancements, and propose innovative improvements to enhance business operations.

Position Requirements

  • Competency in AutoCAD/Drafting (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent, including previous experience)
  • Knowledge and experience of other MS Office and Windows software
  • Proficient in the use of modern surveying and setting out instrumentation
  • Good understanding of machine control
  • LSS or similar 3D modelling knowledge and experience (training can be provided in LSS)
  • Relevant CSCS qualification
  • General knowledge of Environmental Engineering and activities of the wider business

Position Remuneration

  • Company Car Allowance £5k
  • 23 days holiday rising to 25 over time served plus stat hols
  • 6% pension contribution
  • Life assurance x 3 salary
  • Medical benefit of paycare
  • Salary: DOE
