Description
- Manage and oversee all fixed asset activities within the organisation
- Maintain records of all fixed asset purchases and disposals
- Perform periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliations
- Coordinate with other departments for fixed asset needs
- Prepare and present fixed asset reports to management
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations related to fixed assets
- Participate in the annual budgeting process
- Assist in other accounting tasks as needed
Profile
A successful Fixed Asset Accountant should have:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ideally be studying towards a professional accounting qualification
