Regional Sales & Operational Manager

The Optical Factory has been a business disrupter due to its location, ownership and business principles. The business has grown to be one of the largest single independent optical practices in Scotland. Kilmarnock Hearing Care has been operating since 2019 has become the largest independent Audiology practice in the West of Scotland.

We are looking to recruit an Operations & Sales Manager to join our team who is friendly, experienced, innovative and tenacious.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations and Sales Manager to oversee the daily operations, develop strategic sales plans, and manage budgets for our business across three locations. You will lead a team of 7 staff, ensuring high standards in both operations and sales performance, with a focus on profitability and efficient resource management.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of three branches, ensuring smooth functioning, compliance with company standards, and optimal productivity.
  • Monitor and improve internal processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and workforce planning to meet business needs.
  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth across all locations.
  • Identify new business opportunities and customer segments.
  • Lead the sales team in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.

Staff Management:

  • Manage, motivate, and develop a team of 7 staff across the branches.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide training or mentorship where needed.
  • Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork and individual accountability.

Financial & Budget Management:

  • Manage branch budgets, ensuring profitability by controlling costs and optimizing resources.
  • Analyse financial reports to make data-driven decisions for improving profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and operational guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Must be well experienced in a people management role, preferably within a multi-location business.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of budget management and financial principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be mobile and willing to travel across all locations in West of Scotland.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other business management software.

Hours of work

40 hours, 0800-1700 Monday to Friday

Work base

Work between 3 clinics, in East Kilbride, Kilmarnock and Paisley.
