Position: HR Manager

Our client

Large, professional services firm has a new opening for an HR Manager to join their team.

They offer a salary circa £60,000 per annum.

Purpose:

Reporting to the Associate Director of People Operations and Advisory, you will co-develop and implement the company's people strategy. You will operationally deliver the people strategy for a business line alongside a Business Partner and support Regional and Office Managing Partners in fostering engagement and belonging. You will be managing a team of 6 - 7 individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Experience: Lead the People Advisory team to enhance employee experience across wellbeing, inclusion, and engagement, in coordination with the Engagement and Wellbeing team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with Service Line Heads, leadership teams, and key stakeholders to drive a premium employee experience.
  • Change Management: Initiate and lead people change programmes at both service line and regional levels, ensuring risks are managed.
  • Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the people strategy, promoting the company as an employer of choice and supporting innovation within the firm.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about market trends and adapt strategies to meet current and future business needs.
  • Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to people policies and procedures, providing commercial solutions where relevant.
  • Performance Management: Oversee employee relations, performance appraisals, and annual processes, ensuring fair treatment and minimising risks.
  • Recruitment: Collaborate with Early Careers and Experienced Hire teams to meet resource requirements and enhance recruitment processes.
  • People Analytics: Utilise people analytics to provide insights and improve management decision-making.
  • Leadership: Develop and manage the People Advisory team, fostering growth, technical competence, and best practices.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualifications: CIPD qualified, Minimum level 5. Level 7 would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Skills: High business acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence business leaders.
  • Experience: Proven track record in leading teams to deliver business-focused people solutions, with knowledge of best practices across the employee lifecycle.
  • Expertise: Understanding of employment legislation, employee relations, engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion strategies.
  • Attributes: Critical thinker with a sense of curiosity, innovation, and the ability to manage people risk.
