Job Title : Internal Account Manager (Exterior)

Reporting to: Internal Sales Manager (Exterior)

Direct reports: None

Department: Commercial

Business Unit Organisation: Exterior (DSI & Solidor)

Purpose

The purpose of this role is to contact potential & existing customers to drive exterior door sales. Internal Account Managers will be expected to manage new leads from initial contact through to order, as well as engaging with large volumes of prospective customers to generate orders, contributing to the company-wide business development initiatives and for nurturing and developing relationships with our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead Management - Contacting new leads to qualify potential new business, before following through to receipt of first order
  • Being in regular contact with customers to ensure repeat business, proactively resolving any issues which occur
  • Build and maintain strong, long lasting mutually beneficial customer relationships at all levels for the allocated accounts
  • Develop & maintain a thorough understanding of customers on patch, identifying accounts which need nurturing to continually win business
  • Utilise available reporting to identify & contact lapsed customers to retrieve business
  • Accurately logging contact with prospects on internal CRM
  • Work in tandem with Area Business Managers to fully canvass patches, developing a good understanding of potential targets not currently being sold to, making contact to convert business
  • Be able to provide quality feedback to Line Manager on current market feel on patch, such as key challenges with customers & factors influencing customer buying decisions
  • Fully engage and collaborate with customer service teams to ensure that our customers receive the best possible experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in a role dealing with a large volume of customers at any given time (preferred)
  • Outbound focused customer contact experience (preferred)
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills, with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstratable ability to communicate in a direct, open & convincing style with the ability to influence internal & external stakeholders
  • Previous experience in a target-orientated environment
