Temporary assignment (One month sickness cover-potentially can be extended)

Our client is seeking experienced drivers like yourself to ensure their service users have safe and reliable transport to essential support services. As a Social Care Transport Driver, you will play a vital role in providing comfort and support to individuals with diverse needs.
What you'll do:
- Transport service users from their homes to Day Support Centres and Community Interest Companies and vice versa �? ?? ???
- Collaborate with a Passenger Assistant to assist service users in getting on and off the vehicle safely ??
- Switch routes as necessary, ensuring all service needs are met on a daily basis ??
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and promptly report any defects to the fleet services ??
- Refuel assigned vehicle on a daily basis ?
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, both internally and externally ??
- Build positive relationships with service users, their families, and carers, providing a considerate and supportive environment ??
What we're looking for:
- A full clean driving licence, including category D1 or equivalent to operate a 16-seater minibus with a wheelchair tail lift ??
- Prior experience in a driving role ??
- Enhanced DBS check for working with vulnerable adults (adult barring check) ???
- Physical ability to operate a tail lift and assist passengers who use wheelchairs ??
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a passenger assistant ???
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures for vulnerable adults ??
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changes in routes or schedules ??
- Digital proficiency to manage necessary documentation ????
- Punctuality, reliability, and a smart appearance ???
- A commitment to maintaining a secure and safe environment for service users ??�?
- Employment references details that covers last 2 years ?
